Name:	Eng. Hussein M. Jicir.
Age	1957
Occupation	Civil Engineer by profession and MA in Sanitary Engineering, Currently The Mayor of Hargeisa
Martial Status	Married with six children.
Mayor Since	December 22 2002, Eng. Jaciir is the first Elected Mayor after 34 years in Hargeisa.

The Mayor and Council appoint the City Secretary, who serves as the Chief Administrator of the City organization. Hargeisa practices a Mayor form of government.
